Families of those killed in the Virginia Tech shootings have until March 31 to say whether they'll accept a settlement that would include $100,000 each and the chance to question the governor and university officials about the shooting...That'll sure solve everything.
Plus we'll have closure.

I want to see the lawsuit that names the inability to have firearms on campus.
Isn't there on family that will make that arguement?

Isn't that something we do with a door, or a lid?
When a relative or friend passes away for whatever reason, I don't think closure is what I want. Rather, I would like to know that they will not suffer for all eternity. Relatives and friends are a bit more precious to me than a door or a lid.

Sure. That will give you comfort that your child didn't die in vain.
I would want to know for sure that the governor would never again have any armed bodyguards. After all, if it is good enough for his bosses, it is good enough for him.
When I heard this I just screamed. What kind of idiot would make the offer to have 3 talking sessions part of a settlement? What the crap good is a talking session going to do? What kind of idiot would accept such? We will know if these parents are sheeple or citizens by their answer. I hope at least one parent will sue the university for so much that university starts passing blood.
They already have closure. They got it when the lids on the coffins of their children were slammed shut for the last time.
That's right, that is the closure to be expected when you support criminals and the politicians who empower them.
I'm sorry I just don't feel any sympathy for any of these people who supported and still support the policies that got their children killed. I have a great deal of sadness for the dead, some of them may have grown to be more principled and sensible than their parents who sold their lives for the comfort the illusion of security gave them.
Illusion eventually bump into reality. The proper response is not to strengthen your illusion, but recognize reality.
I hope they hurt forever. I am sick of them and I have no compassion for them because they try to force their illusion on my children. So, no, I don't wish them well or comfort or money or a damn thing good.
