If we believe that the Declaration of Independence is correct and we are "endowed" with "unalienable" rights, including the Second Amendment, then those rights come from a source beyond and superior to the state and as such can only be relinquished to the state by our own craven acts of mental and physical capitulation.This is quite simply a brilliant analysis that needed to be said and now needs to be read. Every time I read something like that I ask myself: is X rounds enough?
What I have is more than I'll (personally) use, but is it "enough" in the bigger context?
I don't want to find out. If I do end up finding out, I _really_ don't want the answer to be: Nope, not enough.

Sounds good on the surface, but a little deeper reading uncovers a link (titled "secret state agreements") to a website called FourWinds10.com.
According to this group, God is a StarFleet Commander who's fleet is now circling the earth in order to help us progress from our 3rd Dimension existence into a 5th Dimension form. Jesus is apparently his XO. No details of what a "5th Dimension" would be like are provided.
It kinda goes downhill from there.
I could have done without that little bit of lunacy.

That information about the military agreement was on Drudge and other news sites earlier, where it's linked to now does not detract from the usefulness of the information, or it's relevance and truth. In this case "reading a little deeper" does nothing to change the facts, nor does it devalue the excellence of Mr. Case's essay.- J.B.
