Having a CCW, to me, doesn't make you any different than anyone that's being stopped on a traffic stop. Regardless of the situation, YOU HAVE A GUN, AND GUNS ARE USED TO KILL PEOPLE. Its as simple as that. Thanks, "txpolice," for perfectly illustrating the mindset that is "The Only Ones."
What if you decide that you've had a bad day and that you don't want a ticket from the LEO that's giving you one, It only takes a split second to snap and make a bad decision that will cost u the rest of your life, and possibly the LEO that you or anyone else decides to fire at.
Asking why you need a gun in the first place is a good question, but i see know reason to ask if I disarm you and hav in in my possession.

Holy shit, David. Did you manage to get through all those pages?
My old man is a cop, and he gets that Only Ones attitude from time to time, but nothing as bad as these cowards. "I run the show", "Deal with it", etc.
Hell, TXPete even claims he doesn't think the 2A is relevant any more. I've said it before, I'll say it again, the 2A means more now being that we have a tyranny forming in the police force.
This feeling of "superiority" has got to stop. Law Dawg said it best, and I need to dig up the link, but he reminded his fellow officers that they derive their power from the people and that they are only paid to do what every citizen is duty bound to do for free.
What a bunch of craven cowards, hiding behind internet anonymity to push their weight around, then behind a gun and a badge to do the same in real life.
Sounds like a bunch of arrogant bullies to me. An innocent civilian is in more danger of being shot by a goofy cop than a cop being shot by a CCW carrier.
I've heard txpolice's line of sh*t before. Before TX CCW passed and afterwards; I've heard it from scumbucket DAs whose instructions regarding TX 'traveling law' were, 'screw 'em, arrest everyone you find with a gun'.
I hope he's not the Harris Cty deputy no billed after killing a suspect who allegedly was driving at him; the suspect was shot in the side and back.
I hope he's not one of the fans of Taser as torment, who seem very quick to deploy the shocker in lieu of discussion.
Who's kidding, he shares the 'only one' attitude; every day he straps it on and sallies forth, it's him agin' them and them are us.
Ugh
I personally liked this one.
"Please cite the Constitutional paragraph or amendment that prohibits a law enforcement officer from temporarily disarming someone who is carrying legally, then returning the firearm to them at the end of the encounter."
By that logic, I'd like that guy to show me the paragraph or amendment that says I can't plant my foot up his ass for being a JBT.
The most consistent theme in all that was the abject cowardice displayed by the cops.
Your fear does not justify mistreatment of me. If you put your gun in your trunk and lock it away, you may talk to me. Otherwise I will offer you the same advice I have on several occassions to cops pushing too far, "If you're that scared, run away."
Took a click over to their little LE love-fest and left before I dropkick the next cop I see just for good measure.
Someone I know was listening to a class at the Highway Patrol academy here in OK right after the CCW law passed: HUGE amount of bitching and moaning that boiled down to "WE'RE supposed to carry guns, not the weenies we pull over!"
When one of the instructors read them the act about "Remember the 2nd amendment? These are honest citizens, and if you can't deal with it maybe you should consider a different profession.", the further bitching, I'm told, was amazing.
How in the hell is that "man" a civil servant when he can't form a coherent sentence? Can you imagine trying to read his incident or crime reports?
It has been said that most cops are just grown up elementary school bullies with low IQs. I find that statement proven more and more accurate every day.
Heaven help any decent citizen who is unfortunate enough to ever have to deal with this fascist dullard.
Not one of those idiots calling themselves cops should be allowed in the same room with a firearm. Letting morons strap on a gun, pin on a badge and turning them loose on an unsuspecting public is one of the worst crimes I can think of. The arrogance, the self importance, the us Vs. them attitude displayed by each and every one of them makes want to throw up.
