Analyze This

Georgia, Florida and Texas are the top suppliers of crime guns to other states, according to crime gun trace data recently released by the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives (ATF) and analyzed by the Brady Center to Prevent Gun Violence.
Just one problem--well, several, actually:
But ATF and gun proponents found flaws in the Brady Center's calculations.

ATF supervisor Todd Reichert in Washington noted that the agency's data included some gun sales that were originally made as much as 10 years ago, which is much longer than the two-year "time to crime" ATF considers an indicator of a possible illegal gun sale.

Reichert also said not all law enforcement agencies report recovered crime guns for tracing. And, he said, spikes in the numbers come after ATF helps police agencies clear backlogs as those departments begin reporting recovered crime guns to the federal agency.
That's pretty pathetic when even BATFU and The Atlanta Journal Constitution won't give you cover for your faulty analysis and calculated lies.

How many times does a gun change hands in 10 years? ow much more free are gun buyers in those states than in the states where the "crime guns" were seized? Most American cars involved in crime are manufactured in Michigan. Sound the alarm. Is there something in the water?
That's where Detroit is. Go figure.

Interesting...maybe the grabbers have their Pharisaical streak, and they're looking for someone to throw under the bus (just like some gun rights advocates seem to want to do with certain defendants).
