We're the Only Ones Managing Emergencies Enough

A FEMA inspector, angered at a pedestrian who got in his way, allegedly took out a golf club, chased the pedestrian down and bashed him across the arm, breaking the club in the process...

According to the Cedar Rapids Police Department, Koley stopped the car, got out and insisted that "he didn't have to slow down, he was with FEMA."
That's almost as good as "Do you know who I am?"

Yeah, we do. You're a punk "Only One" with a totally unearned sense of importance. You're lucky someone didn't wrestle away that golf club and take a few divots out of your sorry back nine with it.

Cedar Rapids. People aren't being allowed to go to their homes a week after the flood and a FEMA guy's got golf on his mind?
NOW we know who you are, Mr. Koley. Now we know.
I just know someone will use that "Do you know who I am?" line on me. My answer just MIGHT be "I'll find out from tomorrow's news."

Afghans play polo with the carcass of a goat. It's the national sport. I thought THAT was barbaric.

I don't think this is a guy going off but think the talk he's heard by other government folks had him lose all respect to citizens. I'm sure and sure to a very large degree he heard talk by other parasites that put down the citizens as idiots and scum. The talk was more than like, "those people are making our job harder than the job really needs to be. Those idiots can get back to their homes when we say and not sooner, can't those idiots get that through their heads". Talk like this gave him the wrong impression and he went too far with it.

From the story the initial dispute rose from Koley failing to give way to a pedestrian in a crosswalk, itself a traffic violation. Good to see he's in the slammer with an ADW charge against him. Hope it goes to trial and some of the good citizens of Iowa barred from their homes by FEMA get to set on the jury.

One has to wonder how a man can be so shot through with luck, first to have survived with that attitude to the age of 74, second to have survived the incident under question. I wonder if I could get him to pick me some lottery numbers?

I'm Mr. Kramer's age. If I saw a 74 y/o man coming after me with a golf club, I'd be in serious trouble.

I can't run, (arthritis) so he could possibly catch me.

Golf clubs can be, and have been, used to kill, but if I shot a 74 y/o old man, I'd go to jail, no matter what. Add to this the fact that I've been trained all my life to respect my elders. This indecision could cause me to fatally hesitate, making my gun useless, and putting my life at risk.

All I can say is thank God Mr. Kramer didn't take a clout in the head, leaving him parapelegic, blind, or worse.

And thank God it wasn't me.
