Any Bets...

...that "Operation Blunt Two" will have about as much effect on violent crime in the UK as if nothing had been banned at all...?

It really is like watching a bunch of Flatlanders totally oblivious to the concept of looking up.

About five percent of the thousands and thousands of people who had their dwindling rights violated by a stop and search were found to be carrying a knife. Oh my God, call out the army!

I don't gamble, but if I did it would be no surprise where I'd place my money.

Actually, 528 weapons is more like a 1.97 percent success rate -- compared to the 26,777 people who had their personal liberty violated in this waste of time and public funds -- to display the ridiculous facade of absolute authority of a police state inept at protecting anything but its own members. (As is the case with all police states; no special hatred directed at the Home Office here.)

Yes, I realize "more than 1,200" were arrested. I'm not sure if this is the combined total, including a presumed Operation Blunt One, or that the remainder are facing charges of Conspiracy to Possess Silverware.

I suggest that London police have a contingency for when "in-your-face policing" meets In-Your-Abdomen Stabbing, the violent criminal's answer. (As demonstrated by Franklin Reed, formerly of Connecticut.)
