O.K., did you mean to link to "Annabelle the Sheep", or did someone screw around with the links and pull what you wanted?

51 to 72 months is not enough, unless they must serve it in general population. Which I will pray for. Then we'll see how tough these sonsofbitches are.

Were any of those my sons, I would save the cost of a trial myself. I wish these motherfuckers a very short and miserable life.

If they survive their prison terms, I will pray they do not survive their release.

Five of them, and no one in the department had a clue? Not even the "good" ones. Yeah, I believe that!

Wonder if we'll see laudatory posts about the officers in that department who didn't do this.

Had it not been for the tape we all know the department would have given these barbarians a pass. And isn't it curious that they were tried in federal court?

Couldn't get a prosecution in state court? Probably nobody wanted to rush to judgment.

How many incidents like this does it take?

Government as ABUSIVE father.
Sorry, we're not children.
Isn't the war on drugs wonderful? Drugs are bad. Therefore people suspected of selling them should be tortured with slapjacks and electricity until they sign a consent-to-search form that includes the words "of my own free will." Then the police can take their drugs and their MONEY. "Once you sign that form, we'll start bein' nice. Otherwise, I got two batteries out there and I'll hook them up to your f--ing balls." And then he does.
Trembling with rage.
You see, it's just a short step from tasering someone for not signing a traffic ticket to this.
"Oh, Lord..."
At 14 minutes, they talk about "charging him up."
Who's the governor of Tenneessee?
"Eugene, I'm gon' break your f-- in' finger if you don't sign."

There are times for a tape recorder, and there are times for other machinery.
That's the least extreme thing I find myself able to say.
"Nobody knows we're here."
That's all I'd need to hear.
I can hear the convicted cops now: "Years in prison for just doin' our f--in' JOB? That's what's wrong with this country."
The Knoxville paper covered the trial. Interesting, that the Unitarian Church killer was in Knoxville. He was obsessed about his wife's affair and abandonment of him. That's why this country is in the shape it's in. His problem seemed bigger than Mr. Siler's.

People can talk all they want about it just being "a few bad apples," but how many apples this bad does one have to taste before one decides that apples just ain't worth it?

Hell--for that matter, how many before one decides to start burning down some orchards?

Siler was just doing what a lawyer advised here a few months ago: Never talk to the police.
I guess some times that works better than others.
"Sign the f--in' paper and we can get on with our duty."
Siler said he had been set up before.

The cops SAY "If you don't have any dope here, then why do you object to us searching?"
If you have nothing to hide, just drop 'em and bend over.

"F-- it, I'm over. Everybody step outside."
"Eugene, you're gon' sign this or I'm gon' put a bullet through your f--in' head, and we're gon' plant this here BB gun."
32 minutes of coercion, 27 minutes of torture so far...
Siler sounds intoxicated. If he hadn't been, I'm sure he would have suffered more.
"What kinda loss would it be for us if you die, buddy?"
Second cop: "Won't be no sweat offa MY b-lls!"

36 minutes: Cop 1 explains how he'll report that Siler "escaped out the back door and fought all the officers and was beating them so bad" they had to...

Then Siler offers to turn in someone else, things calm down and the recording ends.

One might say this is another public relations disaster for law enforcement everywhere.
