Now let ev'ry man drink off his full bumper,Sorry, girls. Bimbo-wear just doesn't fit in with what I'm trying to do here. I'm afraid I'm going to have to ask you to leave. You've been filtered out.
And let ev'ry man drink off his full glass;
We'll drink and be jolly and drown melancholy,
And here's to the health of each true-hearted lass.
It takes a few hours to go into effect, so here's to your health, lasses. May you enjoy it somewhere else.
* With apologies

Thank you.
The scantily clad ladies don't even want to hang out with me :-(.
i mean i guess it was alright except for the russian-bride motif and the airbrushing and the "plus sizes available" and oh god what am i saying
ygos?
Awwww c'mon ... we're getting rid of the WoG TnA?
You gotta pay the bills. I tried to give you a few random click through s each day.
I just tuned the ad out.
Ok, ok I glanced at it first and THEN I tuned it out.
"I read it for the articles"
Some of them WERE kind of rough looking, reminded me of that "Alexa Dupre" that N.Y. Gov. Elliot Spitzer liked more than his wife.
Many times. While on government trips. At hundred$ an hour.
David - I never even see the ads. I keep the javascript (and cookies) off in my browser until I need them. Javascript may be useful in some instances - but it's also a vulnerability while web browsing. IIRC - Firefox even has a plug-in for selective javascript use.
I tho't the blonde was cute. Now the only picture on WoG will be that guy at the top of... oh nevermind, my bad. :)
That is what I get for disabling JavaScript & Plugins in Opera to only when I need them (just like PNO does with FF).
This calls out for a humorous comment, but others have done so ( and I did on the previous entry on this subject), but...
If this sort of ad really bothers you (but I don't get the impression that you're a regular church-goer) then this decision makes sense, but if your personal feeling toward them is neutral, or no worse than other annoying ads, it seems to me that you are doing exactly what you rail about in your blog, only on a different subject.
You're modifying YOUR behavior simply because it "offends" some portion of the population.
Seriously, what's the difference between your stance here, and those pro-gun folks who insist that open carry shouldn't occur because it "bothers" the proles.
Not being a smart-ass, I'm really interested.
Bud, it has nothing to do with anything other than my preference and my sense that the ads detracted from the image I wish to present. No different than choosing what I want to wear, really--the person I dress for is me.
If I were worried about what other people think of me, I would not be writing about RKBA, or if I were, it would be of the tepid and pragmatic kind, and I would be doing it anonymously.
