A Coral Springs police officer whose K-9 dog suffocated inside his police car last summer will not be charged, authorities said today...Well, I guess as long as it wasn't willful...
The officer, whose name has not been released because he works undercover, remains on duty at the Police Department.

I call bullshit. If he worked undercover, how stupid are the crooks in his town that he wasn't made as a cop considering he had a trained police dog with him?
They didn't release his name because they know they are violating the law and exercising selective enforcement.
As in other cases of this nature involving the injury or death of a police K-9 this man should be facing charges of killing a police officer. By going this route, they can keep the law on the books so any ordinary citizen who hurts a damn dog can draw 20 years up to and including the death penalty, while their guy walks free. After all, he was only a damn dog! Unless you or I do it, then he was a police officer.
