A Ground Self-Defense Force sergeant belonging to the GSDF's police unit accidentally fired a handgun twice Tuesday afternoon at the Defense Ministry's headquarters in Shinjuku Ward, Tokyo. The bullets hit the ground and a wall, but no one was injured.Twice! At least they didn't say "the gun went off the gun went off."
I don't suppose I could get away with a comment about "Onry Ones"...?

this is news in japan? that a gun went off? wow. they just aren't gonna make it.
This professional soldier didn't have the benefit of growing up in a gun culture. Maybe the Japanese Self Defense Force should be issued revolvers until they are.
By the way, that's the UN dream for every country; no armies, navies, etc., just a small "self defense force" to hold the fort until the UN heavies can get there: The only real military on the planet. You can read it in their own words in the plan for disarmament. It'll have the same consequences that civilian disarmament has had in American major cities, but on a national scale. And of course the bad countries will keep theirs.
He needs to watch more anime. Seriously, anyone who's seen a lot will know that there's a lot of technical knowledge in there. The trigger discipline, detail on the weapons, everything. Not that that would excuse the blunder, of course.
Nah, he sounds like the kind who'd accidentally write a name twice in the Death Note book.
