Isn't this known as "stealing"? I wonder what happens when this occurs in a state with mandatory firearm theft reporting deadlines. Oh no, someone stole my gun. Now I'm in trouble with the authorities. Oh wait, it was the authorities who stole my gun!
How did authorities know the guns they were accepting were "illegal"? Or were ALL of the guns turned in "illegal"?
