They're overlooking NO Amendment. The Fourth must die in order to kill the Second. Exercising the First must become hazardous so no one will dare defend any of the others. The nail that sticks up gets hammered. For our own good, you know, to keep us from making the Overseers angry and getting ourselves in REAL trouble.
Think about this: About 80 years ago, women and the men who supported them were going to jail for saying they wanted the right to VOTE. The bumper-sticker slogan reminds us "Well-behaved women do not make history."
Well-behaved ANYBODY.
Unfortunately, Defender, they do make history - as they fall into the mass graves.
If the grounds for search were solely peaceful expression of opinion then it appears that a gross violation of 1st Amendment Civil Rights had occurred. Contact your state Attorney General and your local FBI office and demand that the incident be investigated and appropriate prosecution be initiated.
For the next meeting, distribute CCW buttons to all atendees who would wear them. Cut out 4" x 6" x 1" rectangles of styrofoam or similar lightweight material (so that they cannot be confused with actual weapons) and distribute them with the request that they placed in pockets, purses, or tucked in waistbands under shirts and blouses. Alternately, find old books that can serve the same purpose. Overwhelm them with the absurdity of their response.

Having said that, you can bet these gun haters are hard core Marxist and will murder millions once they take control of the guns.
LOL! You know those idiots would take away a piese of styrofoam in the shape of a crude gun saying:
A, you are under attest for blaaaa blaaaaa.
B, We are taking this away from you because you could cause another officer to shoot you thinking this crude shapped gun of white styrofoam was in fact a real firearm.
If I am not mistaken in Ca. they can prosecute you for carrying a concealed firearm because the intent was there to make people believe you had one, or some such crap as that. That being a public safety hazard and an indication that one was about to commit a gun crime.
What do you think would happen if there is a mass arrest of citizens, each charged with the crime of carry a concealed weapon - a book?
Wasn't there a video a short time ago of a citizen being frisked by a police officer for a concealed weapon who actually was wielding a penile erection. The old joke "Is that a gun in your pocket or are you happy to see me?"

Let me guess -- no guns were found? Because CCW holders are an unusually law abiding lot and realized that a government building is an unarmed victim zone?
