What Works in Chicago

One of President Barack Obama's first acts Tuesday was to put the brakes on all pending regulations that the Bush administration tried to push through in its waning days...

Another Bush administration regulation that went in effect this month overturned a 25-year-old federal rule that severely restricts loaded guns in national parks. [More]
So why would the "Authorized Journalists" bring that up unless...?

Ain't it nice to know he was only pandering to the AHSAholes when he said "what works in Chicago may not work in Cheyenne"...?

The park rule is already in effect. The whole rulemaking process must be gone thru to get rid of it.

Since I live in the suburbs of Chicago, I must ask, what does work in Chicago?

Executive orders still must not override the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. In the absence of any bills passed by Congress signed by the President, the power of the Executive over Federal agencies predominates.

That headline...

Knowing what we know, maybe it could be "What's TOLERATED in Chicago." Won't be, elsewhere.

From today's paper: "Obama...tasks every American with responsibility."
What greater responsibility can there be than defending life, limb and property? Anyone wanting to make that more difficult and expensive anywhere for any reason is not your friend and is acting outside his authority.
We have a RESPONSIBILITY to defend the Constitution.

the only thing that works in chicago are the people who still have jobs in the private sector.

I think Obama meant that things he did in Cook County would get him thrown in jail in Wyoming.
