The Rules of Engagement

"We're not looking to come across as being heavy-handed," he said. "We want to make sure that everybody knows what the rules of engagement are to help spur greater compliance, so that enforcement becomes less of an issue. But we're still going to enforce." [More]
Thank goodness you're not being heavy-handed, Scott Wolfson.

"Rules of engagement." Over this. Good grief. At what point do your JBTs get to shoot?

I guess "Chairwoman" works for Inez Tenenbaum, in a Chicom kind'a way, although with all those "Czars" flitting about, I'm surprised she's not called "Czarina."

Anybody know if there's a feminine form for "Führer "?

Why am I thinking of a fictional passage in a yet-unwritten novel where a Jart is used to provide ironic justice...? Remember those? I miss 'em--they were fun. I think I need to buy a set if I can find one--better yet, two sets, so I can offer one for sale in defiance of power-mad authoritarians.

"Rules of engagement", from the CPSC? Do these asshats have their own swat squad yet? NSA surveillance assets to home in on those garage sales, moles in the throw-away papers to report on 'for sale' ads?

Wolfson might benefit from a tune-up; as for Tenenbaum, tar and feathers might get her attention.

Yeah, but do they know MY rules of engagement?

So, just extending their, uh, well not really sure what it is, (I'll use "thinking" for sake of discussion here)all we have to do to criminalize and forever more remove the current batch of politicians is to recall them?

Is it really that simple?

How many lives/people have politicians damaged as compared to some product?

What else can they do with the atrocious law that Congress gave them?

From what I've read they've tried to stretch the law and use as many loopholes as they could to be able to allow business to go on, because they know that the law is simply insane. Congress has to fix it.

i've taken to calling them the "tacticools." i think mockery does them better justice than the power implied by "JBT."

That's a Hell of a thing to lose one's life over, even the worthless life of a federal agent.

They surely would be trespassing at certain places with which I am amazingly familiar.
