While some anti-gun zealots are hard at work blaming the domestic violence victim, or extrapolating that this one incident proves guns are always useless for defense, those decrying armed defense and using this to justify their position need to explain a gross inconsistency. I am a martial arts and firearms instructor. I have spent 4 years studying to fight against those armed with fists, knives, and guns. I routinely carry my pistol even in my own house. I always have at least one knife on me.
Although there are undoubtedly others, I can guarantee you that my wife could easily kill me. You have to trust and have faith in some people or life isn't worth living. If you don't have that kind of faith in the person you are living with, why on earth would you be living with them?
God speed Ms. Hain. I for one will remember the stand for freedom you took.
I am beyond upset with the mess the media is making out of this- she is a perfect example of WHY people should carry and train!
