A gunman toting a high-powered rifle who took a number of people hostage in a downtown Edmonton building Wednesday has surrendered peacefully, Edmonton police say. [More]Just so we're clear: Every single hostage was required by law to be unarmed.
Nice weapons the "Only Ones" have, by the way...
Had it gone down differently, not a single person would have been able to do anything about it but be slaughtered.
But they weren't that worried as they hid and did their horoscopes and passed around cell phones to assure their families they were safe.
It's enough to make one regurgitate their cud.

Of course the "Only Ones" are masked up like a bunch of damned terrorists. You mere mortals ...uhmmm, I mean, civilians, don't need to know their identity. It astounds me. Why, if you are on the side of absolute right, do you desire to hide your identity?
"Had it gone down differently, not a single person would have been able to do anything about it but be slaughtered."
Markie Marxist sez: "We Marxists can set thing up the best we can and still not get results. Maybe next time we can get some bodies for the body count we need to drive our gun ban agenda. We'll keep trying. It's a numbers game, and we've set it up so that the odds are in our favor."
Two quotes just jumped off the page at me:
"We all stayed calm. We knew it was under control," said O'Neil. "We knew the SWAT team was there and the police were going to look after things. I wasn't that worried."
This will be one of those most shocked, SHOCKED when nobody is left to stand up for him.
"Jennifer Dagsvik, a board spokeswoman, said it's unclear how the gunman got past security guards. Employees say security is pretty tight at the building, which routinely deals with protests by disgruntled clients. Workers need a security pass to get on to most floors and offices."
Con-foundit, that's always happening, isn't it? But no matter...next time for sure!
