Here's part of his endorsement:
The light of truth of our position on arms shines through every column. That's a pretty good testimonial.
I'm aware of Mr. Puryear and have been meaning to say something, but keep getting sidetracked.
Anyway, consider yourself told.

Nice call, SA.
I had run across Puryear's work a couple times previously and been pretty impressed as well.
As to David's point about getting sidetracked: for all the abominable things going on these days, it is somewhat heartening to see that reason is more widely available than we can keep personal track of. This is the sort of problem we like to have!
I read it occasionally, and have attempted to discuss some points he doesn't seem to understand about actual self defense. So far, no soap. He's not interested in the opinion of anyone else, evidently
He's a little too impressed with himself to appeal to me, but any public discussion of self defense is better than none.
And maybe, if enough people press him, he'll wake up to reality. A "law school" degree doesn't make him an expert on personal level self defense.
Thanks for the heads-up, ML. I haven't yet seen him engaged in dialogue. I'm still optimistic, but caveat lector!
