Struggling media will need government help [More]Kämpfen Medien?
Well, as long as Henry says we need it...
And then if we malreport anything, Recdep can fix it.
Of course, you'll probably be too occupied with all that prolefeed the versificators are cranking out to make it much of a problem.

The world changes. Adapt and survive, or stagnate and die. No more GD bailouts!
As a laid-off journalist, I can tell you that newspapers are increasingly urban-centric, sarcastic (calling it "trendy" and "cutting edge"), and cater to the young and liberal (who are reading their favorite websites, same as you and me, where their opinions are not called, oh, terroristic and a threat to life, liberty and homeland security), while MOST newspaper buyers are suburban and rural, moderate to conservative and middle-age and older. Libertarianism has friends in media, it's just that they don't tend to be promoted to management and policy-setting positions. And, finally, MOST people are libertarian -- when it come to the rights THEY care about. The 450th time my newspaper used the phrase "gun violence," I told them so. There are other Amendments beyond the First, I said. I was invited to shut the hell up.
As it gets colder in the economic world, the dinosaurs migrate to the nice warm TAR PITS...
