We're the Only Ones Punishing the "Law-Abiding" Enough

Charlie Mitchener followed the law. He has trained at Front Site and with Tactical Response and continues to regularly visit the range. Yet, "In an instant, I am in handcuffs (at 61 years old, this was a first), and there were no bad guys in handcuffs with me, just the guy who thought he was doing things correctly," he writes. [More]
Cowardice under color of authority endangers us all. Why would we pay for that?

The official excuse appears to be the "Only One" was kind of new. Which I guess is a polite way of saying "incompetent" without admitting to anything...?

Another reason why "freedom to carry" must become the norm...

Which is why I teach my boys never to talk to cops, teachers, anybody, about anything they know. Ever. Nice to see this skirt with a badge could make herself so comfortable. One day...........

After what one has learned from every practical example over the years one can wonder why anyone would ever voluntarily call the police.

why tell them anything on private property. Here, you don't even have to tell them on public property if you are carrying.

When did the perceived safety of the servant become paramount?

Maybe the "lady cop" thought there
might be mice around. It's well known that some "lady cops" are skeert of mice.

When police departments started actively recruiting cowards and sociopaths. Cowardly sociopaths being considered a real bonus. Those people will obey any order that allows them to abuse with immunity. They have become highly valued for that very reason. Hence the disappearance of the traditional peace officer from the ranks.
