The sheriff says officers in that department do more than register guns. He says he does not plan to eliminate it. "I made my position pretty clear. I think our gun registration law is good. Our detectives and officers support it," he said. [More]We discussed this briefly in a secondary feature here.
And look--they make it "quick, simple and easy" for you!
Of course, if it were me, I'd tell these oath-breaking "Only Ones" exactly what they could count on getting. Publicly, and in front of as many people as possible.
Why everyone doesn't is one of the great mysteries of our time.

Since they can't control the wolves, they'll settle for the sheep. And of course the officers and detectives "support it". Without it, they wouldn't be able to slop their mouths in the public trough. So they break their oaths, so what? Who are we going to send to make them comply, the POLICE? And we're sure as hell not going to make them comply, BECAUSE IT'S NOT TIME YET.
Did someone claim that Nevada is a bastion of liberty? Bleau cards?
Dear Sheriff:
The support of you and your Deputies in regards to firearms registration matters about as much as that of the Queen of England. Not at all.
Luckily for us, the US Constitution is not debatable. No matter your personal feelings, you took an Oath before G-d to support and defend the Constitution. We will hold you that Oath, or we will fire you and then charge you.
"...shall not be infringed," is pretty clear. There's not much wiggle room, (i.e. not much room for error on your part).
Please take your Oath very seriously; because we do.

Our public servants have to be reminded that they serve us and not the other way around. People need to be clear when they tell this moron to shove his unlawful law up his ass!!!!!
How and why we are not actively engaging these trough dwellers is truly a mystery.
