The high point for me was watching the video where the BATFU "expert" tries to insert a magazine backwards.

I have been following this one and can't believe my eyes. This is so over the top and yet its allowed because no one in the system seems to have the upper position in the pay grade to step in with some common sense to put a stop to it.
We have to ask ourselves, is this the same government out of Washington DC we want to have running our health care? This case should be a current classic example for why this federal government is not able or has the ability to run our health car. If they don't know a toy gun that is impossible to fire a real bullet isn't a toy gun. And no one or agency in that federal government hasn't the common sense to put a stop to such an injustice. Than we need to hold this classic example of government gone wild up as an example for all to see. This could be the agency's actions many have been waiting for to roast ATF with. Frankly, I can't believe I'm seeing what I'm seen in this matter.

Don't worry about spamming--the tie in to fedgov health care and everything else they do like this is absolutely right on, and I'm grateful you put that thought out there. Even a non-gun owner can look at that and have a light click on...

I'm glad you like my point of tying in the demeanor of the federal government across the board in a way that even folks that don't own firearms can get a grip on just how out of control the federal government has become.
The owner of these toys valued at 20 grand, would have to go up against the world's largest law firm the DOJ and fight them in an endless game of legal maneuvers. Think of doing this with cancer having limited time and money. Again this case is a classic example of a government with zero oversight to correct injustice. But doing it through a system that demands a person spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to earn the right to have justice. Which "justice" was theirs all along but denied. It seems that injustice in the federal system in today's world is nothing but an excuse for people within that system to justify their jobs. So the game is engaged, good luck because anyone caught up in it is going to need luck and lots of money.
On another note: After watching the news video that goes along with this reporting of yours, David. I'm sure there will be people pointing out that the play war games that people use these toys for are seen as threat to the folks in the system of government. The citizens should not be allowed to become efficient in combat techniques. Lawful, honest and hard working taxpayers engaging in this sport of combat may very well be the underlying reasons the federal government has engaged itself in this matter. No matter how you slice this pie, its rotten inside.

Take a look at the electronic Code of Federal Regulations Title 15: Commerce and Foreign Trade PART 1150—MARKING OF TOY, LOOK-ALIKE AND IMITATION FIREARMS You'll see that the requirement that the muzzle of the gun be tipped by blaze orange does not apply to (I quote the regulation) "... pellet-firing air guns that expel a projectile through the force of compressed air, compressed gas or mechanical spring action, or any combination thereof, ..."
It would appear that not only is the claim that the pellet firing gun can be converted to a (perish the thought) dastardly Machine Gun, but neither the BATFU's nor the DHS know their regulations they seem to think "We The People" are required to submit to.
The fact that the Airsoft guns are not required to have a blaze orange muzzle probably won't make a difference to the federal prosecutor assigned to this Cluster Fox. Nor for that matter to the judge who ends up trying the case.
Just thought y'all would like to know.

atexan, which is what I was alluding to. It's just that a lot of us SEE the danger, but few are doing anything about it. The bureaucratic aholes who pulled that stunt are sure to be back.
