In public all guns should be visible. Having a concealed weapon should be made a serious crime (immediate deportation until the appeal process is complete - no exceptions) [More]Good grief.

Ah, a Regressive.
Yeah....we tried that back in the 1860s. Perhaps we also need legislation that requires one to keep arms locked away in his horse's saddlebags?
As it turns out, the best indicator of criminal intent is criminal behavior. In a civilized society, members may interpose on behalf of the victims, to arrest a crime in progress. (That's the original meaning of "arrest". Thanks, Kent.) It sure helps when they're free and clear to employ weapons as they see fit.
To persecute and prosecute civilized members of the human race with a litany of obscure, minor and thoroughly useless contraband violations--following the completely obvious and natural exercise of the mammalian protective instinct--is wretchedly uncivilized, immoral, and rightly attracts accusations of those who promote it that they are in support of criminals.
Could this be sarcasm?
