In his first extensive public comments since Bishop allegedly killed three people in a February shooting rampage in Alabama, Brian L. Howe said yesterday that he repeatedly asked Braintree police for their files on the case but never got them. [More]Isn't that what they always do when people won't cooperate in homicide investigations, especially when guns are involved? Shrug, say "Oh, well" and close the case?

When you read anything in the Boston Globe and other media concerning Amy Bishop shooting Seth Bishop, note that the State Police officer refers to the "rifle", not the "shotgun", and that the writers perpetuate that confusion. Scary that there is a lack of discernment between the two long arms in both the investigation and the reporting.
