An Assault Weapon

As opposed to a "patrol vehicle"...? [Read]

I don't see the problem, perhaps Henigan can shill (er,uh, become spokesman) for the Coalition to Stop Auto Violence. Plenty of work to be done to remove these deadly assault devices from the streets of Ca.

Firstly there should be a ban on open display of a motor vehicle, only the police and military should be allowed to own or operate such deadly devices, even in fully automatic. Since injuries are bound to still occur, eventually it may be necessary to ban all wheeled modes of conveyance. Start with trains and all but ski planes, then move to bicycles, and of course the ever deadly trifecta, tricycles, and litte red wagons. Ban all commercial motor vehicles to keep them from falling into the wrong hands, farmers can just carry their watermelons to market in a backpack, rather than have these deadly monster fall into to the hands of the Agriculture Cartel.

These are the minimum basic requirements to stop the flow of "blood in the streets". For vehicles already owned in Ca. perhaps there could be car "buyback" programs where people receive a 10 dollar shopping card and the authorities melt down the cars to make something useful. Remember every one of these deadly devices we remove from the streets can save countless lives.

San Francisco's recent event has underlined the importance of taking a no nonsense approach and initiating a "zero tolerance" policy as regards these killing machines. Let kids walk to school, a ten mile walk in the morning and evening will have the side benefit of combatting childhood obesity, as well as keeping our children safe. We will be a happier healthier society by just following these common sense reasonable restrictions.

If they save just one life, it will all be worth it.
