No Charge

What happened to:
"No firearm may be used for self-defence unless licenced for that purpose (s16, s17, s18, and s19). If under personal attack whilst only in possession of a firearm licenced for a non-defensive purpose, the individual would, in fact, be committing an offence by using it to defend him/herself...
?

Interesting. I hold a New Zealand firearms license and during the vetting procedure, one is asked if one wants the firearm for personal protection.

Instant and irrevocable denial.

Funny for an American who is a firm believer in the 2nd.

No better illustration of the difference between a citizen and a subject.

I thought this was in South Africa, not NZ. And that was a quote to illustrate how screwed their laws are, not my belief.
