The III Percent Solution

Kerodin.com has some observations.

I've been looking around the site a bit--seems like an interesting place.

I did find a point I'd argue from the "Freedom of Association" post:
He simply seems to have taken the position that she may not do so while working in his office.
It ain't "his" office.

Ah well. If I ever meet anyone I agree with completely I'll probably find some other reason to complain. Go on over and give the site a look-see.

The libertarian anarcho-capitalist, Murray Rothbard, argues that all political liberty is a by-product of private property rights.

As such, forcing an employee on an unwilling employer is primarily a violation of his property rights and secondarily a violation of his freedom of association.

However, if an employer is an officer of the civil government, he cannot exercise his freedom of association in the same way and to the same degree because he does not hold title to the property,

Thus, if you own a sandwich shop you may deny service to anyone you choose but if you are a magistrate you are forced by law to consider the case of all plaintiffs even if you would not wish to be otherwise associated with them in any way.

So, to recap, should an employer have a right to fire anyone he pleases for any reason whatever?

Answer: Yes and no.

From EEO terminology site http://www.archives.gov/eeo/terminology.html:
"Protected Class: The groups protected from the employment discrimination by law. These groups include men and women on the basis of sex; any group which shares a common race, religion, color, or national origin; people over 40; and people with physical or mental handicaps. Every U.S. citizen is a member of some protected class, and is entitled to the benefits of EEO law."

if the political views that are the cause of the firings are shared by a large number of your customers, be prepared for the backlash once word of the firing is propagated.

Am I advising you to kiss ar$e to succeed? Yes.

I have a problem with someone that takes a quote from Heinlein and credits "Grandma Kerodin". I stopped there with the site. No better than J. Kerry (D) or Mark Kirk (R-IL) taking credit for military honors not deserved.

"...Liberal ideals..."

Could we stop incorrectly using that word...please? And I don't think adjectives get capitalized--even in German.
