A Matter of Propriety

"We don't think it is appropriate to have guns in churches," Danny Loar, executive director of the Louisiana Conference of Catholic Bishops — the church's public policy arm in Louisiana said Monday. [More]
You might want to ban crosses while you're at it, Danny...

The president and police chief at Virginia Tech didn't think it was appropriate for there to be guns on their square-miles campus.
They also didn't think it appropriate to warn the student body of two shooting deaths that morning. They told THEIR OWN children and relatives and colleagues, however, so they could take precautions. The emails are well-documented.
Mayor Larry Vaughan in "Jaws" is what I think of. As long as it's out-of-towners getting eaten, keep it quiet.

Time for someone to remind Loar and the bishops of the story of St Gabriel Possenti.

Instructions for the Time of Crisis:

35And He said to them, “When I sent you out without money belt and bag and sandals, you did not lack anything, did you?” They said, “No, nothing.” 36And He said to them, “But now, whoever has a money belt is to take it along, likewise also a bag, and whoever has no sword is to sell his coat and buy one. 37“For I tell you that this which is written must be fulfilled in Me, ‘AND HE WAS NUMBERED WITH TRANSGRESSORS’; for that which refers to Me has its fulfillment.” 38They said, “Lord, look, here are two swords.” And He said to them, “It is enough.”

-Luke 22:35-36
New American Standard Bible

Those instructions look pretty clear to me.

Get some.

I too, fail to recall Jesus telling anyone that what he was in effect establishing was a suicide pact. But no matter. The churches in this country are truly full of sheep destined for slaughter, being led by false priests and prophets.
