This is a placeholder for now because I have not had ads on this blog for years. In case I ever start up again, this will be the policy in effect:
The FTC has some fool nonsense rules about ads on blogs or some such and presumes authority over the First Amendment to compel the unfunded mandate that we who earn ad revenues make some kind of disclosure so you don't think we're getting paid to say nice things about people or God knows what, meaning they must think you're stupid, too. I have had a few ads on this site in the past and may do so again if I think it's worth a try. Combined, I probably couldn't buy a box of good cigars each year, let alone a bottle of George T. Stagg, and that is somehow supposed to compromise my morality to force me to say nice things about products and services I don't mean simply in exchange for filthy lucre. If you believe that, leave now--you're not smart enough to be here. Bottom line, aside from welcoming a sponsor, I will do no posts related to their products or services, or reviews of what they offer.
About "The Only Ones"
The purpose of this feature has never been to bash cops. The only reason I do this is to amass a credible body of evidence to present when those who would deny our right to keep and bear arms use the argument that only government enforcers are professional and trained enough to do so safely and responsibly. And it's also used to illustrate when those of official status, rank or privilege, both in law enforcement and in some other government position, get special breaks not available to we commoners, particularly (but not exclusively) when they're involved in gun-related incidents.
Comment House Rules
Keep them on topic. No spam. No threats against anyone except me. Do not feed trolls--I'll take out the trash. Try to keep it clean. I'm the final arbiter. If you don't like the rules, start your own damn blog.
Link Policy
WarOnGuns reciprocates links with liberty-oriented sites promoting the right to keep and bear arms for all peaceable individuals. If you have linked to me and don't see your site below, it's probably just because I haven't noticed it yet. Shoot me an email via the "Contact Form" (see above in this sidebar) if you want to fix that.
As a general rule I remove links for blogs that have been inactive for over one year.
Good work, everyone. I think they'll be back, but so will we. The wildlife seems to be doing OK with the current type of ammunition and fishing weights. A Californian says the condors don't seem to be faring any BETTER for their statewide ban on lead for hunting. NEXT?!
This could also be used, to our benefit down the road. Not just with this issue. The EPA admitted they didn't have the authority to do this. When is the last time we have heard ANY federal organisation say something like that? I can't think of one on the top of my head.
This could be beneficial to liberty if played right.
Still the ammo part is dead, but the fishing tackle part is not. I say don't give them anything. The feds, the EPA or the anti-hunting nutjobs. Even if you don't fish.
Good for THEIR health they decided not to overeach, yet again. But as far as the EPA goes, piss on them, they're nothing but collectivist, revisionist, stooges.
I would add one qualifier to the headline – it should read “EPA Rejects Unconstitutional Calls .......”. The Toxic Substances Control Act is itself unconstitutional, and even it specifically disallows regulation of ammunition. If following the Constitution, no law, existing or otherwise, can be used to do this. But then, when I read the English language, I normally interpret things as they are written, and do not devise new and improved meanings for words and phrases. When something says “is” or “shall not”, I know what that means. Maybe I’m just not as smart as Clinton and others in Congress. Perhaps, just perhaps, it’s that pesky voice called “conscience”, which says “this isn’t right ...”
Wow! I didn't even have a chance to write my scathing letter to my congress-critters.
I am sure a swift and vociferous response from gun-owners is what caused this quick about face from the EPA. I would have loved to be a fly on the wall when the director got a call about this one...
First off liberals lie and are known liars. Look at how they say that 30,000 people in America die from gun violence every year. Yet they don't say that half of them are people that took their own life. Trying to make it sound like they all were murdered. Which brings us to the 20 million number of wildlife dying from lead poising. I want to know were they got that number. My hunch is more of the same in gathering such a number, half truths and bold faced lies.

We'll place those "plans" on hold for now, pending the next assault on our rights.
We all know they'll come back again, until a really hard lesson is taught.

To paraphrase Ahnold, "They'll be back."
My guess is right after the November election.

Great job well done.
