Seems he's pathological, hypocritical Only One, and should be dealt with harshly. He didn't waste any time; only two years out of the academy.
But...
I can't help but think that NPD's "corporate culture" might suggest this kind of drumming out for someone who, say, criticized police brutality and oppression such as we have read about. The big smear, for refusing to be a team player for the Brown Shirts. "Witnesses" coerced or rewarded.
I base that on nothing, except a feeling. We know it happens, all the way up to "termination with extreme prejudice." It's easy, in the police us-against-everyone-else culture.
