We're the Only Ones Going to the Dogs Enough

Family members claim they called police for help Wednesday morning, but when officers arrived, they were treated like criminals and an officer shot and killed their family dog. [More]
That'll teach 'em!

And my favorite bit of reader comment apologia:
This all boils down to a simple point that you're missing: one cop is worth 4 or 5 civilians and a dog's life isn't worth squat.

But Barlow was arrested and charged with multiple crimes, including insulting an officer. Police say the officer acted appropriately when shooting the dog.

"Insulting an officer" is now a crime?! Can it get any worse? What is it going to take before citizens insist these morons be reined in.

Oh, dear. Did I just insult an officer?

The usual disclaimer applies, of course, and I don't imply that all cops are morons.

Unless that dog is a K-9 po' lice dog. Then his life is equal in value to that of a cop, and heaven help you if you hurt said K-9!

I find out where the K-9 units live.....

Extrapolate from there....

Escalation; 'insulting' now a chargeable offense...All I have to do is look at one of these pukes and he/she will consider him/herself insulted.
My patience wears thin.
