Coming Soon!

Nothing yet, as of 12:33 PM EST.

I hope they're not waiting until the end of the day so the staffers can give people a weekend to cool down...

I enjoy a lot of your writing - especially about the "only ones", but I've never seen a blogger so intensely interested in the NRA when you apparently don't support and constantly criticise them... Just put your efforts behind the GOA...

I'm sure of the hundreds of ratings and endorsements by the NRA, you'll find a few to slam them for and won't mention much about the hundreds you agree with.

I'm the NRA, Dann. I'll put my record of support for the Association since the 1990s up against yours any time you care to compare.

I reserve the right to disagree with paid management and staff, because their decisions can affect my freedoms and I see plenty of decisions I disagree with. I have a say in things, too.

Their voice is a lot louder than mine--if your contention is there is no room for dissent from my small part in this, that ain't gonna happen. You're right--you've "never seen a blogger so intensely interested..."

Perhaps you should be more concerned with why you don't. At least you can enjoy some degree of affirmation knowing most will agree with you.

By the way, you have worked and proposed solutions to try and promote reforms, right?

Well, I won't get in an NRA Resume contest David, but just a couple of mentions: 27 years as a member, 17 years (I believe) as an instructor, co-hosted Friends of NRA events, actively involved in many Ohio pro-gun political campaigns, CCW, etc... and a donor in multiple ways. I'm also a supporter of the BFA, OFCC, SAF, Heritage Foundation, and other pro-gun entities having started working for Ohio CCW in 1987.

I don't agree with all their decisions as you don't, I just wish you'd give equal treatment to the decisions you agree with as you do to those you don't.

I vote each time for the NRA board members, fire off emails and written letters to the NRA powers, board members, and my legislators regularly about issues I disagree - and agree - with.

One of my biggest efforts is with 4H shooting sports for over 10 years now as I believe it's easier to educate the next generation than argue with the "Brady" idiots of this generation - although I do enough of that too.

I follow your writing and blogging regularly... while we may not agree on everything, I respect your thoughts and the discourse... but like you bringing up your NRA concerns, I brought up mine to you. Surely the NRA has done something worthwhile this year or last on the pro-gun side of things.

Many of us are still NRA members and we're just fine with shooter education programs, range assistance and training.

But the NRA's political wing is a loose cannon. If you'll note on the linked page, Gillibrand (S-NY) went from 'A Rated' to 'F'. The NRA handed her votes on a silver platter, despite warnings (such as David's) and she did everything in her power to diminish our rights. They tried to do it again with Reid, but this time people were watching.

I think that justifies questioning the NRA's criteria with intensity. We pay the NRA--it's not the other way around.
