The police chief in Pine Lawn, Rickey Collins, fired one shot at a man who allegedly fled the scene of a seat belt checkpoint Friday night. [More]That'll teach him to be safe!
Gee, think ThRickey here (that's what you get when you cross "thug" with "Rickey") could have risen to chief without assuming this kind of conduct was something he could generally get away with?

"Collins has said previously that his department did not call in county police to look into Friday's incident because "it wasn't a police shooting. If someone's hit, then it's a police shooting. That's just our policy." "
That old double standard that you weave so well...
Man "appeared to be reaching for a gun."
Well, anyone can SAY that about anyone. A local man was shot and killed for grabbing at his falling semi-fastened pants when cops were interviewing him on his own porch as he was dressing for work. He had no shirt on, so concealed wasn't an issue. They're just f--ing cowards.
The police chief has that same blank-eyed stare familiar in so many mug shots.
Anyone who knows anything would want to avoid checkpoints.
