Physician, Heal Thyself

Think about it. The AMA and the NRA working together to do good. [More]
Not if it requires tolerating your lying snark and ceding to your list of infringements, you obnoxious malpracticing incompetent.

Another doubleplusgood duckspeaker.
A very small shift from "An ILLEGAL gun gets you five years in federal prison" to "A handgun..."

"We all know that, in contrast to rifles and shotguns, the only moving targets for hand guns are people."

Quack.
Hey, I just got that.

Just posted this. Let's see if it makes it through moderation:

Dr. Lundberg: I'll promise not to practice medicine if you'll stop dispensing inane firearms advice.

You focus on the harm done. Consider the benefits, however:

1) In his book More Guns Less Crime (3rd edition), Dr.
John Lott conclusively demonstrates that more guns
(especially concealed) equates to a reduction in crime.

This has happened in state after state that went from no or may issue to shall issue laws.

2) The number thrown around by anti-gun rights groups is 30,000 gun deaths per year. For now lets take it as a given. You should also know that various studies put the number of defensive gun uses at between 1.5 and 2.5 million per year (See Dr. Gary Kleck for his research on this). Most of these defensive uses do not involve firing the weapon - simply brandishing it is enough to cause an aggressor to rethink his or her plans.

There's more, but unlike your article, rebuttal space
is limited. Think about it.

Living in Florida, quite often there are broadcast reports of the elderly mentally impaired either driving off to parts unknown or crashing into large objects that have "suddenly jumped in front of them", like mailboxes, trees, or school buses. All of the drivers had regularly seen a physician.

Inspires confidence in anything the AMA says, doesn't it?
