Meanwhile, Across the Pond in Sarah Brady Paradise...

Shirt Race starter pistol confiscated by police...now Government legislation means this year’s event will start with an airhorn...[More]
Compressed air...hmmm...

I note they don't recount any problems from back when a shotgun was used.

This is what I posted at their site:

What I cannot BEGIN to fathom is why the British people do not have the imbeciles who pass and enforce such anti-liberty legislation as this dangling from lamp posts. YOU are the people who once had an empire on which the sun never set? YOU are who gave us the Magna Carta? YOU are the people I must consider my ancestors?

I am truly appalled that I read such as this and then DON'T read about how you are rising up to TAKE BACK your individual rights from these usurpers. What ever happened to the formerly-renowned SPINE of the British people?

Removing guns, any type of gun, is a method of breaking the back of the self defense culture. It's been almost completely successful in Britain, is in progress in Australia, and is being attempted in America.

When I lived in the SF Bay area, the Association of Bay Area Governments was working in concert to test various methods to stop gun shows, to make it nearly impossible to have gun stores, and other self defense cultural entities and events. They've been partially successful, but weren't prepared to have to face the SCOTUS decision, such as McDonnell, and the law suits that generated. However, they're continuing to spend tax dollars for their goal.
