Another One

That's it. Note to City of Canton: If your feral pig stops me, I'm just going to assume my life is in danger and act accordingly, using all necessary force to repel him.

Enough of your police state bullshit.

And while you're at it, get rid of your resident Nazi-lover.

I'm not from Canton, but I now have a suspicion why my police department removed their squad cameras a few years ago.

Don't rely on the camera to affect behavior, only document it. This guy is a craven bully who almost certainly couldn't control his reaction and actions, regardless of the camera. His response was fear based. You can actually see him escalate the situation even as he gained physical control, a classic bully/coward response. I'm still in favor of the camera because it's the best evidence but I understand the real issue is negligent hiring, negligent training and negligent retention. Come to grips with the budget issues and empire building inherent in government (and especially police departments) and you'll understand the scope of the problem. Oh, and before someone tears me up as a police basher, I'm a retired 24 year veteran officer with an extensive training history and education. So yes, I do have at least a small clue.

Damn right David!

I've spent the last few months (since the bad business with Pima Co. SWAT) dreading the day that I pick up a newspaper and see that someone who has been abused by police lost it and went out to target random cops...because I think some of these guys are only a single ILLEGAL statement or action away from getting a lot of GOOD cops killed!

I think I would smile if I saw on the news that this murderous thug was gunned down by somebody acting in self-defense.

Squeeze, Baby, Squeeze

Please understand, if you get labeled as a credible threat to police, you will find yourself under surveillance, not just by the police, but also by their citizen volunteer badge fluffing quisling surveillance monkeys. Cost will be no object because Officer Safety is the number one priority.

But isn't it Amazing What You Can Accomplish When You Don't Care Who Gets the Credit?

I am not trying to advocate or encourage violence toward anyone.

Like I said; bad cops will get more good cops killed.

...but, if this guy is having those kind of temper issues on the job, he might be having them while "on leave."
He doesn't have a badge or flashy lights now...so how will an armed citizen (legally or otherwise) react to his screaming and tirades?

He needs to either be in a maximum security prison, or a patient in a hospital for the criminally insane.

The book needs to be thrown HARD at this guy and any other officers who cross the line. You only need to convict the first dozen or so in federal court...the rest will get right the hell in line.
