Switching off War on Guns Radio

It didn't work out. A mutual agreement about aspects of the show could not be reached. I am proud of what I did in the few short months it ran and believe it was a unique effort at serving a growing niche market. Thank you to those of you who listened, who gave me kind feedback and who shared the show with your friends.

Too bad this didn't work out, I listened "semi-regularly", about 3-4 shows per week. It came on at 10AM here, so was disrupted by the morning's chores at times.

I agree with you, David, we do need something like this, only during morning drive time on the east coast, OR right after Limbaugh in the afternoon.

Too bad we can't get the Lairds of Fairfax to front the money for it.

Thank you for what I know was many hours of work on the program both on and off the air. I thoroughly enjoyed listening.

I'm sorry things didn't work out.

It was a good effort on your part and I thank you for what you have done and will do. If I ever get rich I will start my own radio station and let you have at it all you want, the way you want.

David,

I'm so sorry to hear this. I eagerly listened to every show. In fact, streaming NBC1260 right now, but no show. This show is needed. I hope that there will be another vehicle for your show.
Thank you for your efforts, and all that you do for gun rights.
Happy trails to you, until we meet again!!

I wasn't able to listen to the live show and had to depend on the archive. I am so wishing this did not have to end.

David, you gave it a good shot and should be proud of yourself. We learn by our experiences, good and bad. Hopefully you'll be back live in another voice venue. In any case, keep up the good work. Your efforts are needed. Thank you for what you do..

David - perhaps all for the better - podcast your own show and do it your way! Hell - I bet you'd even find some sponsors and I'm sure you'd be able to whip the archives into shape.

What a shame! I'm so sorry. I know that you put in an awful lot of time and effort. I hope you will give us the benefit of a good "after action briefing" when you get a chance. Your experience should be valuable for anyone trying to get the word in edgewise to a MSM audience.

Sorry to hear that David - where there be an archive of shows?

Do consider doing a podcast, or better yet, a youtube channel. Go out shooting with Nutnfancy, he'll help promote ya.

David.. how 'bout a podcast? it would be a winner!

David, I enjoyed listening to the archives when I could. When one door closes... this might just open a door to bigger things. Gun Talk started small. You might take this to syndication.

God bless,

David,

I am truly very sorry to hear about the show's demise. I had very high hopes that such a venture, in a mainstream market, during a high-profile time-frame, would be a great success, and thus, a victory for our cause.

I am, frankly, saddened that things did not work out, for whatever reason.

Sincerely,
Anthony

fidelity has good points; podcasts, youtube, or working with the NuntnFancy Project - you do communicate well, so I don't know what the problem was.
Maybe if you'd done the show in the nude...
all the best -

Am also terribly sad this ended this
way. My first thought: what will happen to the archives? all the best, cycjec.

Sorry to hear that. Hope you can do it again with 'better' support from management!

Ditto to condolences. Didn't get to listen a lot (babysitting a baby kinda keeps you busy) but enjoyed hearing you and the Dutchman. Guess they - to coin a phrase - couldn't handle the truth.

Best wishes for future projects. If you really want to be on radio I hope you get another opportunity.

David,
Listened to your show most every day on computer at work (10 am). Whatever you do, don't give up your theme music if you get another opportunity to be on air - good folks out there need to know that there is someone on their side that, "Won't Back Down", and at the end of the day will wish them, "Happy Trails", just like when I was kid growing up from the age of 7 with my Red Ryder BB gun. I remember having to scrounge up several bottles for the deposits in order to buy a nickle tube of BB's. All the sparrows in the neighborhood were as nervous as chickens with a fox in the hen house when I was on the hunt. Your show brought back many pleasant memories as well as addressing gun issues of today.
Wish you well in the future.

David,

Good job. I listened to your archives when they were updated (which was not frequent enough). The format and the content were good. As mentioned by another before, I loved Johnny Cash and Roy and Dale. Consider podcasting. You are well-suited to the radio medium as well as the written word. Good luck in your next effort(s).

Perhaps you could carry on on Blogtalk Radio until something else picks up?

Thanks for kind wishes--please understand there are reasons I cannot say more at this time. On one of the recommendations, a podcast/blog radio is not in the cards.

I'll miss your show. From the first airing, it had become a staple of my morning routine. My wife even asked why I wasn't streaming your program on my phone as we drove to work Monday. I didn't see this announcement until today, so we were both hoping you were just taking a vacation. If War On Guns Radio makes a return, please make sure that it has an internet outlet for those of us outside the broadcast market.

Sorry to read that you are closing down the broadcast. I hope that you consider making it into a podcast as I downloaded nearly every file as part of my regular listening routine.

David, thank you for your efforts. I had to listen online from the archive and hardly missed a minute of your shows. I'm sad it ended and hope you find another station for the show.

Hope things change and you're able to get back on the air. Thank you for your hard work.
