“Those who are not in law enforcement are telling law enforcement what to do,” said Maggi Duncan, director of the Tennessee Association of Police Chiefs. [More]Yeah, no kidding, idiot. That she thinks it should be the other way around tells us all we need to know.
And more with this "an affront" language--that's the anti's newest talking point, handed down from Colin Goddard who finds talk of self defense at Virgina Tech "offensive." Or at least he says he does, maybe to keep himself--and others--from examining his part any deeper...

"It is letting the locals decide."
The commie libs were real big on "letting the locals decide" when they rammed the AWB down our throats, weren't they? And Obamacare, and a host of other things.
They're real keen on the locals when they're trying to use them to block legislation, but when they're pushing their own legislative agenda, the locals get run over with a big government steamroller and then get laughed at when they complain about it.
They don't want their insider deals in arms traffic messed up, they can sell to friends, keep as throw downs, etc, with no one keeping track as it stands. Of course they want local control to keep profits up. As usual, there are more criminals with badges than without.
If we can have people telling the military what to do, who are not in the military, which is the civilian control of the military that we have in America, then we can certainly have civilians who are not in law enforcement, telling their fellow civilians in law enforcement what to do.
In related news, Maggi needs to stop eating kook burgers with arrogant sauce on them.
