If the folks filming the video had not been armed, they would all be dead. The police here seem to think that allowing citizens to carry guns will result in firefights. It might, but BY DEFINITION, this means that less people will die, since folks would be able to defend themselves, like they did here. Had these folks had licenses to carry, they would be held up as heroes. Here, the fact that they used guns TO PROTECT THEIR LIVES somehow is bad?
Guns kept more of these folks from being injured or being dead. If the two guys had NOT had defensive firearms, everyone there would be dead. Even here, guns saved lives against an attack. If these folks had been white, and had licenses to carry, the media would be holding them up as heroes. In Oakland, guns have been criminalized, YET THEY ARE ESSENTIAL TO PROTECT LIFE HERE.
