We're the Only Ones Lee Paige Award Finalists Enough

An off-duty Chicago police officer was shot when her gun accidentally discharged about 7:20 p.m. Thursday, police said. [More]
I guess that sounds better than "she negligently shot herself"...?

Gee, if this can happen to a trained professional, thank goodness they make it so difficult for amateurs like you and me to go armed there.

Forget it, Jake, it's Chi-Town.

Dropped the purse and the gun went off !? ^%&^$&!

Definitely need one of those new NYPD pistols with the 14 pound trigger pull.

I want to know why the gun wasn't in a holster that covered the trigger. Glocks and others without a manual safety aren't as safe as some think they are. I've looked in wifey's purse, I wouldn't drop a unholstered gun in there. Not with all the other crap floating around in there. You would think a 22 year veteran would know better.
