We're the Only Ones Standing Off Enough

Another  public servant previously deemed more trustworthy than you and me when he wore the magic costume...but I guess I shouldn't judge until I've wriggled a mile in his straitjacket.  [Read]

Does somebody want to tell "Authorized Journalist" and self-styled "Star Reporter" Bill McCleery that it's been a few years since IMPD issued "service revolvers"?

The most serious charge, stalking with a deadly weapon, is a B felony that carries a sentence of six to 20 years, Rimstidt noted. The charge implies that Ratcliff stalked Reyes while armed with a deadly weapon — in this case, his IMPD service revolver.

On that count alone, investigators documented 48 occasions on which Ratcliff allegedly committed that offense.

48 times and they are just now doing something?

I ran across a Sargent here in the DMPD that is still carrying a six gun. He's a older guy getting ready to retire. He said since time is short, why bother. We talked a little about civilians carrying guns, he's one of the good guys.

Among journalists, "service revolver" = "cop gun".
