"A Staunch Gun Advocate"

I actually condone this action...Gun owners - be reasonable. [More]

Tell you what, why don't you do what you want and stay the hell out of my private affairs?

You call for more "gun laws," make a point of telling everyone how law-abiding you are, and then turn around and tell us "Even if a business is posted, I carry anyway."

If the antis were really for "reasonable" background checks they'd be pushing for BIDS, which would allow for those without creating a purchase record. But what they're really interested in is that purchase record.

In the meantime, we don't need useful kapos ceding  ground in the guise of "staunch gun advocates."

@ Rudemood. Be informed that I , a law-abiding individual, have a need brought on by nature's law to occasionally defecate.

Using your logic, ("Even if a business is posted, I carry anyway.") I can rationalize that I am entitled to enter your home uninvited, drop a load on your living room floor, and leave the mess for your wife to clean up.

Wow. So many opinions, so little logic.

Years ago, when my sister was stalked, the deputy who took the report asked her if she owned a gun and knew how to use it.

She answered "of course." He recommended that she carry it and defend herself if necessary.

Many of the loonie commenters appear to believe that the laws and the police will protect them.

If there's trouble they call a man with a gun, but can't be troubled to protect themselves.

Some will likely learn the hard way that criminals don't tend to obey laws.
