To further think that those perpetrating “gang violence” would in any way be inclined to participate or be impacted, as the Slate.com piece suggests, is just ignorant and childish, despite their ploy to add an unmerited appearance of authority by advising readers “This article also appears on As We Now Think, a site edited by the Consortium for Science, Policy, and Outcomes at Arizona State University.” [More]
Today's Gun Rights Examiner license to kill stupid ideas aims to leave villains bent on domination shaken, not stirred.

I saw that in the trailer, and all I could think was, "Seriously? You knuckleheads are touting this canard?"

Like all things, if the government adopts this for their own personnel, what is to stop someone from independently developing the means to remotely disable them or to co-opt them them for their own use?

Think of the U.S. Government supplied Sidewinder missiles that were used to shoot down Soviet aircraft in Afghanistan in the 1980's that were later used against other aircraft, or arms recently in Libya that have migrated elsewhere.
