Dave, please post this version vice the earlier. I noticed a typo, thanks:

The tone of the majority comments speaks volumes about McClatchy's readership. "McClatchy" is I suspect a disorder characterized by knotted bowels and vitriol. I don't personally care if someone doesn't want to own a gun, it’s a free (for now) country, but don't mandate your unwillingness to be prudently prepared to take care of yourselves and your loved ones on me, thanks very much. That it makes you a potential burden for others seems acceptable to you and is sad, but that's what collectivist liberals are all about, isn’t it? By the common logic of the comments, carrying fire insurance on one’s home would be alarmist paranoia too. No one really expects their home to burn down, yet it happens. If, God forbid, anything dire happens in this country, those of you who have chosen to depend on others for your protection will be the first at our doors asking for sanctuary. And you will likely receive it, because contrary to the obvious misconceptions, it is NOT about "me and my guns"... “He that would make his own liberty secure must guard even his enemy from oppression: for if he violates this duty, he establishes a precedent that will reach unto himself.” -- Thomas Paine. “You can only protect your liberties in this world by protecting the other man's freedom. You can only be free if I am free.” -- Clarence Darrow.
