Without immersing myself in the argument--and I do think it's useful to show how the antis lie to conflate semiautos with machine guns--I do want to make one quick point about how "military-style assault weapons" have the added feature of letting one fire from the hip:

I equate the antis with demons from hell, in that they are proportionate in effect, and as such, I do propose that they be summarily dispensed with, by government action.
While ol' Lucas' rapid fire intro to his weekly sitcom was impressive, I noticed years ago that; if his supposed human target was situated more than ten feet away and was less than ten feet tall, all Lucas' rounds would have harmlessly passed over his head.
