I watched the original KABC TV video of Angela Jones being Tasered. It included a "video expert" who attempted to defend the actions of the officers, as they had no knowledge of anything potentially dangerous in her purse or in her vehicle. Someone needs to remind him of the 4th Amendment. Just because the CHP officers want to know does not necessarily mean that they get to know.
I've BEEN in that situation! Worse yet I have a pacemaker. Damned near CERTAIN a tazer to my upper torso would blow the device up and send me into V-fib. If it can damned near kill a healthy person over a decade younger than me then what chance do I have? When I told the "federal officer" who threatened to taze me if I moved that I have a pacemaker, he flashed a shit-eating grin and replied "I DON'T CARE.". BTW, under Texas Law that constitutes aggravated assault.
