We're the Only Ones Charging Enough

Frangioni, a 14-year veteran of the Sarasota Police Department, did not return calls or emails seeking comment for this story. [More]
Maybe they need to charge their phones.

He should have gone to the mayor. Over here in Houston our morbidly obese mayor Parker gave free power to the occupy folks a few months ago. Free to them, we tax serfs paid.

"Circuit Judge Charles Williams threw the case out, saying Frangioni lacked the legal justification to make the arrest."

So, that being the case, is the city going to charge the police officer with making an unlawful arrest? Kidnapping? Extortion? All the above? Or is the falsely arrested man going to have the wherewithal ( say, a public defender turned prosecutor ? ) to press charges?

Why not? If you or I made an unwarranted citizen's arrest, you can rest assured we would be charged.

But then, equality under the law is a pipe dream nowadays. Just one more reason why respect for the law is fast disappearing.
