Found this neat tool to let your Senators and Rep know your opinion about this at http://popvox.com

Don't forget to call and mail separately.

As this bill only has an exemption for .22 cal tubular magazines, it would ban reproductions of Henry, 1866, 1873 and 1892 Winchester rifles, along with repro Colt Lightnings. Cowboy Action shooters take note - this isn't just about black rifles.

I was looking up the text of the Hughes amendment, and was just wondering.. do you think that if someone wrote a bill, in proper format (luckily i have practice doing so being a former mayor.), that they could change the hughes amendment section without the anti's even knowing about it? And maybe even replacing the "Sporting Purposes" text to something more friendly to gun owners? You can have a bill amend the text without listing the text itself, but just listing the new text. So 18.922(o) could become something harmless, and 18.922(R) could have sporting purposes replaced with militia purposes, or something that would cover almost all firearms as legal.

What do you think?

I have no idea how that would be possible.
