Talk about a morally repugnant and terrifying idea, naturally coming from a university "bioethicist," but I do see a plot for a killer science fiction movie. [Read]

Why is it, every bioethicist I read about comes off as an abhorrent amoral busybody? I've never read one that shows a sign of having any concept of human dignity.

Already been done. :-) Serenity. G 23 Paxilon Hydrochlorate.
As I just said to a friend, in order to create the New Soviet Man, they must also get rid of all existing non-perfect (aka non-compliant) individuals.
He said they never really go away, and I added that they just go into hiding periodically until people forget, as they are wont to do, the atrocities that their ideas pretty much guarantee.
Captain Malcom Reynolds: "Sure as I know anything, I know this - they will try again. Maybe on another world, maybe on this very ground swept clean. A year from now, ten? They'll swing back to the belief that they can make people... better. And I do not hold to that. So no more runnin'. I aim to misbehave."
Appears to be a "modest proposal":

"Brave New World" comes to mind as well.
I didn't think it was supposed to be read as a "How To" guide.
