Return to Imaginationland

7-year-old provokes administration wrath.
Gee, it seems like we just went there yesterday.

Bear gives an update:

Apparently Mary Blair Elementary, the school that suspended the 7 year-old for tossing an imaginary grenade into an imaginary box in an imaginary game of "Save the (Imaginary) World", have taken down their entire web site. As of 12:50AM EST, I get a 404 on every page I try to reload, including the contact pages on which I first found the staff emails I used to share the imaginary grenade attack picture.

Imagine that. [More]

TSD still has an "about" page for Mary Blair Elementary. Here's their "mission":

We demonstrate the strategies we need to grow in learning and life.
We have pride in our work and expect the best from everyone, all the time.
We maintain a safe and healthy environment where we all belong to a respectful and loving community.
We encourage one another to take responsible risks.
We celebrate the strength in our diversity and differences.
We contribute to our community.

Oddly enough, I don't see anything in there about teaching kids basic math, reading, writing, factual history, l/o/g/i/c/a/l/ /t/h/i/n/k/i/n/g/ (to be fair, they don't have anyone qualified to teach logical thinking), nor much of anything else but how to be a good little component of a community of drones.
