What this means, of course, is that conspiracies with top government involvement are real, and that evil bastards pulling strings have no compunctions about starting a profitable war in which millions upon millions will die, including their own countrymen.
Think about the evil that points to. Fortunately for us, it's just history, and stuff like that could never happen today.
And that's why we have to have a monopoly of violence!

Been rumors for years that it was carrying ordnance of some sort, so I'm not too surprised. I've also seen old photographs alleged to show deck guns under canvas (some pics show the guns exposed, some covered), but I couldn't verify that they really were of the Lusitania, nor exactly what maritime law said about defensive weaponry on the ship.
Other than proving the postulate that government lies, it doesn't much matter anymore.
The article was dated 2008. Why did it take so long for us to notice?
My fault--I saw it presented as "new" on another site and prefer to go to the original people who did the work instead of those who simply reword the work of others, and I simply did not notice. Still, the truism it raises is not outdated.
